Fendt 724, heavy rear mounted implement.

Right, @KB6930 warned me about this!🤦🤣

Having trouble keeping the front wheels on the ground when I lift plough. Got a stone fork on front with 3 sets weights hanging off it and on steep bits at ends the front wheels are still wanting to lift. It's fine in flat fields.

Fendt mechanic today suggested rear wheel weights would help keep it better balanced. Personally I don't really understand how this would make much difference, but interested to hear if anyone else done this and found it helps front?

Water in front wheels. Anyone done this? Does it affect how it drives at speed on road? Is it easy to take out.

Running out of space for front weights and still got a packomat, mounted press I want to put on plough.🤦

I think Fendts idea of a compact powerful tractor you can add and remove weight to is a great concept. Just need to put it into practice.

Had a 6f KV LO300 on ours and had to use a 2t front weight. The normal 1t version was not enough. Still had its moments but it was a lot better with 2t.

We occasionally run this on a 724 but i personally dont like it. The tractor can do it but really doesn’t have the weight to be in charge of the plough. Bit like the tail wagging the dog.

One of reasons I chose it was scope to add weight.

It's a 8t tractor with max gross weight of 14t. Not many other tractors allow that much additional weight to be added. Fastrac maybe exception.

Will have 4m folding combi drill with front tank on it next. Then 4k litre mounted sprayer. So wanted option to add lots of weight.

Sounds like solution for plough is going to be to add more weight on front.💪
Hang you’re wallet on the front that will hold it down 👍

Can’t even imagine the forces that must put on the 3pt linkage and the whole tractor! It’s one thing hanging 3t on the front to balance it out the stresses through the chassis must be colossal
when you pull this you have to alter alinement of plough and dip clutch to puck it up , makes a right job on lighter going

No can't see any movement. Think you can on 240 headstock.
I'll try and look at mine later you take the bar out unbolt the plates that go on the headstock and swap them side to side and turn the bar round but yours has maybe been done already it only give you another 4 inch or so I had to do mine as the pipes were too short for the fastrac

The South Mearns massive have modified Dowdswell swing presses fitted to their front linkages & sticking way out the front to hold down their Fendt noses, whether that is to hide their dodgy ploughing or a genuine weight requirement I do not know

I think with more weight on front , your going to need rear wheel weights too or the front will end up trying to do all the work with plough down

Is the wheelbase of the fendt much shorter than the new Holland?
Heavier tractor longer wheelbase. The nh. I no when I had demo T7260 it walked the 5 and press . With only 1 ton on front. The fendt was like a hen dropping press.of quicker on.hills.
