Have you much of a play with your 724? Hows first impressions?
Yeah, done a bit of ploughing with 6f and had it on muck spreader. Impressed with it so far. Plenty power in a compact package. Was a bit concerned about lack of physical presence compared to other tractors of similar hp, but hasn't failed to do anything I've asked of it so far.

It’s easy to see why 724 is as popular. I think the older fendts were light on the nose as I used to find out with 2.5 ton of fert on back but these ones are far better.

But to get to the 1000 hour service you also need to include the 500hr
Yeah, and would that 500, hr be, £1000 , trying to get my head round the indirect cost involved in keeping the warranty alive, we would normally do standard warranty and in house services after that.

Given your experience of running Fendts would you purchase that warranty or stick the £30k aside in a bank account to cover any potential repairs?
that is a good question on the 700's probably not needed , but on the other hand 30k will not go far if it was a major problem, ours have had warranty to 7/8000 hours 2 are out side of warranty now & we will see how we get on , but i do know we have never lost a days work with Fendt were the MF's every time they left the yard the phone would go this not working , that is not working , I have this Error code & the running cost were way be on 30 k for 8000 hours.

I had this arrive just before christmas and so far so good. Comfort is far better than the 724 I had previous. 130 hours on the clock already and Feels very lively. Getting used to the new screens is taking me more time. Mine was basically full spec minus vario grip as it isn’t something I don’t require but was no where near the 280k stated but I had ordered it in october 2022.

what sort of jobs do you need it for? would 240k be nearer the mark?

I can confirm no further warranty on a massey beyond 5yr old & 6000 hr
Fendt was currently 8 yr & 8000 hr unless thats changed since ?
Mind to typically put a Fendt to that is a £30k charge.
surely if fendts are so well built as they claim they should be able to throw in the extra waranty for less than that, much less

you could do a lot of repairs for 30k, i take all my tractors past 10k hrs and have never spent 30k in repairs on one tractor
