Looking at MF 7600 /Fendt 700 series tractors, but using JD kit+ there guidance, 3000 receiver and 2630 screen.
I have been told i can use the receiver on top of the Fendt and it will work through there screen, is this so?
Also what about a unlock code?
Do i need one.
Then there's the Massey, my Ferguson rep told me its a no go with the Greenstar system through the tractor and i would have to buy there steering wheel motor which i hate from JD or buy there system Topcom , more expense.
So any help and advice is sure needed,I've only just got into guidance so steep learning curve or should that be adaptive.

Hi, with a Topcon AGI-4 supplied and fully installed by us. We can provide an ISO steering solution through the data tropic 3 screen or the fendt vario screen. Very neat solution as we plug straight into existing wiring etc....
PM your address so I can quote you via one of our dealers.

Has this changed recently rob ? I was told agi 4 wouldn't work well yet without an x30 on out last tractor that was done (August)

Yes,
It now gives users an alternative lower spec solution than system. 350.
As with everything, buy a system for the future of your business....
Just gives users more option if all they require is a basic steering solution

John Deere autotrac controller is an hydraulic steering system which will steer every tractor with loadsense operated steering system.

there are complete kits available for fendt, for massey you need to pick a kit without hydraulic hoses etc and have someone (jd dealer) to make hydraulic hoses and make it fit.

AMS Robin.
Good to get your feed back and advice on here. Does your universal hydraulic steering solution use generic harnesses or do you custom build them to the machine. What else other than receiver and screen do you need????

Normally John Deere steering solutions contain of 4 components, 1:receiver, 2:display, 3:activation key, 4:steering system. THE activation key is activated on THE display and stays with THE display, unless dealer moves it to another display. This autotrac key Will work for every type of steering system and accuracy.
Without changing any settings you can move your display and receiver to another tractor with another steering system.

Currently John Deere offers 3 steering solutions, 1:autotrac universal steering wheel, 2: autotrac controller hydraulic steering, 3: autotrac intergrated ex factory.

A basic autotrac controller kit contains à computerbox (every tractor has iTS own, you do not need to move iT ot another one like trimble does) wiring harness, wheel angle sensor, engage switch for armrest, pressure sensor for disconnect etc. As à supplement to this you can order à hydraulic hose kit which Will exacly fit your fendt 700/800/900. We cant offer such à kit for à massey at THE moment, but a little custom work Will do for this.
THE wiring harness is a generic one for all type of tractors. IT comes with THE 19 pin cornerpost bulkhead like ex factory equiped autotrac ready tractors.

Your example photos were for an older Fendt. I guess option 3 works for the current models (steering valve pre-installed). Is there still a control box needed or is just wiring from the screen/receiver to the tractor CAN?

I'm sorry, autotrac intergrated ex factory is only for Deere tractors, 20/30/R series. For other Brands like fendt you have to use autotrac controller. We cant connect to ex factory equiped steering valves for fendt at THE moment, only aftermarket installed from your Deere dealer.
For Some CNH tractors we can use their 'accuguide ready' equipement to connect to, but i do not know what's in that kit. Lets hope this solution for fendt Will be available soon.
For european tractors like fendt of jd6000 we have a kit called Reinhardt controller kit. So reichardt is THE supplier for THE valve and controller etc. You can see THE reichardt controller in THE fusebox of THE fendt in THE picture

So, for a simple fellow....

Can i buy a greenstar receiver that will link into my auto guide ready fendt 724?

Will it fit in the roof and work through the screen as the fendt one does?

If so, how much is it?

in a way yes the starfire mount on the roof in the usual way for a starfire
little bit of extra wiring and box of tricks mounted in the roof of the fendt and run it through the fendt screen

of run it on a greenstar screen

We have JD Green star RTK on Challenger 865C fitted into the Challenger steering system no problems. See YouTube MT865C by thefruitbat111.

This could be misinterpreted. I assume you have everything JD green star except the steering valve which you access via CAN? Since the question was about a Fendt with a Vario screen, one could interpret that this setup makes use of the VarioGuide screen and menus.

I understand this is isobus/task controller based (sorry if the terminology is incorrect, I'm not familiar with the options) running on the tractor screen?

Can you run multiple applications simultaneously like if you have an isobus controlled machine which needs the tractor screen for controls, can you still run the auto steer application simultaneously (even if you would need to switch between screens)?
