Fern Hedges

We have a lot if fern hedges, from now on they tend to weigh down on fences leading to a point a few of our fences have collapsed.
Question is, do some farmers spray hedgerows to kill off fern and any other weeds? Whats the best chemical to spray a hedgrow? Fern isnt the easyest to hedge cut either!

Thknk asulox is the only 1 that will do anything to bracken

We've sprayed bracken in hedges years ago with great success. Asulox is the one to use.

AFAIK it's only available in 20l this year!

Is there maybe a language problem here? Can't see bracken making much of a hedge, but gorse/whins maybe? If so, Grazon 90 is meant to kill it. Excuse me if I'm wrong.

We have some hedges getting ruined by the invasion of bracken..... would asulox kill hawthorn, holly etc?

But does it do bracken?

Is the OP talking about bracken or ferns?

You can cut yourself on bracken. But fern is much softer and harmless.
