Fert Help Needed

Why are you using that particular compound? You may not need any P or K on grazing ground and too much K will increase staggers risk. Has it had any muck spread on it in the last 2-3 years? Soil analysis? Sorry we do not appear to be very helpful but it's like being asked how much flour to put in a cake mix without knowing how many eggs and how much butter and sugar you are using.

As someone who was indoctrinated by ICI in the 60's & 70's i have recently been amazed at just how much grass is still produced with NO fert applied at all !! Albeit on a small area of about 3 acres. and a bit slower starting with a less lush appearance.
My opinion for what it's worth is that fert applied in the spring does more good than at any other time, later applications just don't have the same effect and if it doesn't see enough rain is a complete waste of money.

Bit apples and oranges this but grass here with a full fert program grew 100 this week.
Whereas a field yet to do grew at 30.

We use about 2.5 hundred weight to the acre for 20.10.10 and nitrogen we put out at either 33.5 units an acre or 51 units acre depending on its needs like if it has been grazed hard or been cut

Just me moving to Cornwall will be the dear part.
Clover is in there, just been too cold for it to start yet. June/July here before it comes into its own.

To be fair we weren't getting any growth until about a week ago. 20 to 100kg growth overnight (y)

But in answer to the OP, go online and read RB209, its not 100% but will give you a rough idea and give you something to help plan applications over a year or two.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
