Fert spreader depreciation, price to swap.

It will vary a bit from one flavour of disc spreader to the next, but typically the fine adjustment is changing point where the fert is released onto the disc vanes.

Other settings include changing the disc vanes and speed, though generally these stay fair constant with the spreading width.

I don’t rate my 40.2 as much as my previous 40.1 so looking for a change. Anyway, some pencil sharpening has been happening this morning.
What was the problems with the 40.2? So the 40.1 are a good spreader, currently looking to upgrade but have had nothing to do with a kuhn

My preference is down to the control boxes. Preferred the layout of the previous one, can’t remember what it was called. The 40.1 didn’t have section control but liked everything else about it. We had to change the actuators but the new type didn’t give us any bother.
In the end I haven’t swapped in the spreader though, changing a tractor and the drill is as much as I can do this year.

Well yet again my own laziness has bitten me in the arse again. I didn't bother tray testing on the first application I just got on and did it .

Ran it over the trays this morning and it's 2 letters out . I was thinking I could see slight strips appearing in the winter barley. Why I don't learn or listen to myself every season is beyond me :banghead: :scratchhead:

You aren't the only one with stripes - I'll be pleased to get on with the next dose to get it evened up. Trouble with being in a hurry when doing things trying to catch the weather right. It was all on before the rain at least so to be positive at least now it's only some of the field is still a lighter shade of green!
