I believe CF are only operating 1 plant and that means there's likely to be no double or single top made.

Aslong as you don't buy dear and sell cheapAs long as wheat prices are at current levels I can't see fertiliser prices dropping significantly.
I see by your username your a beef farmer.Aslong as you don't buy dear and sell cheap
Beef farmer is now a dairy farmer I think.I see by your username your a beef farmer.
They are the problem, putting £650/t fert on to make silage and grow grass to graze doesn't add up. Putting £300/t barley through them to fatten them either.
If can lock in wheat futures for £300/t nov23 the fert price for cereals is doable.
I agree that £650/t fert onto grass doesn’t add up but my other option is to cash in the cows,I’m not willing to do that on one season’s price rise. If it continues into next season without a significant rise in the beef trade then we will have no option but to cash them in.I see by your username your a beef farmer.

Will you cut numbers or ride out the storm for the next couple of years?Yeah nobody's forcing us to do it.
Or just keep less. We have to many cattle for amount of land we have, and rely on bought in feed and fert to manage.
Not immediately. Will see how things go over next 12 months. Have some older cows due to cull anyway. Will you cut numbers or ride out the storm for the next couple of years?
