Hi, I have a MF 5611 with front end loader, I have never owned a linkage spreader but i'm looking at getting one. We have hilly terrain with some steep pinches. I want as bigger spreader as i can, but not sure what would be comfortrable on this tractor. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Hi sorry, In Australia we have 1 ton Bags, i imagine your talking a lot smaller bags? I was thinks 2500 litre but maybe this is too big. Thanks
Our 5610 handled our two bag (800kg/bag) Sulky with ease. The weight is so close to the tractor that even 2,4 tons shouldn't be a problem. The linkage lifts 5,4tons if memory serves me right. And you could always put a bucket on the loader and use it with soil as a counter weight.

I have a Kuhn axis 40.2. Takes 3200l so when we fill it with 3 tons of fert my JD 6175M feels it. You have to be careful on the sloops with it then. Tractor has TLS front suspension which does help a lot. I have to agree with one of the other post to look at around 1200l spreader for that size tractor

Yes I was meaning ½ton bags 2&½ton if you can start on some flatter land and get it emptied abit before you hit the hills but if it all sloped then probably a 1.2 to 1.5 ton then you don't have to be completely empty to put another bag in

Thanks everyone, some of our ground is fine and I planned to do the easy country first to get the weight out. We like to get bulk loads 32 ton so I like to get it spread quickly and hate wasting time travelling with our current 1t trailing cart. Had anyone had anything to do with Donder. Seem popular over here, budget brand made in turkey I think. Thanks for the replies.
