Even the bottom spec Fendt is to the same level as the top spec of other tractors.
Apart from PTO speeds!

This is purely brand perception, price them like for like and you'll be surprised!A little off the thread but, can I ask, if you are looking at a basic model why a Fendt? Surely still more money than a higher spec JD/NH/Valtra etc etc.
No,no,no.may as well buy a ford 7710.
And interchangeable shafts.Apart from PTO speeds!
Slight exaggeration!Good in the field but like a slug on the road JD will leave it for dust on hills
But if your buying new there not behind the times? So your comments irrelevantValtra`s have only just got into the 20 th centuary with their pto speeds in the last year or two as well. Way behind the times.
I have and I'm well aware of the difference. This is purely brand perception, price them like for like and you'll be surprised!
1. I've got a 516 out next week to try, it seems to have a fixed pto and to get 21 spline you have ever to use an adaptor? OK on my stuff as I'm swapping all the 1000 stuff to 6 anyway but not if I'm using someone else's kit.
2. If I go power what's the mechanical suspension like compared to the profi and profi plus?
3. On the power you don't have the spools keys on the armrest only on the 2 joysticks, seems naff but is it a pain missing these?
Maybe should of made my comment a bit clearer, Valtra from the same stable as Fendt,so both been behind the times. Have no idea of MF pto speeds so will not comment. Had 4 speeds on my tractor from the early 90`s. Looked at Valtra the last twice I bought a new tractor, both times lost the sale before it had started because of lack of pto options. But if your buying new there not behind the times? So your comments irrelevant
Or maybe MasseyNo,no,no.

Anyone know if you can turn pto on in cab some way so it stays on when you get out. Assume its some safety nonsense but it's a right royal pita!

Can you change between 6 and 21 spline shaft on the 516?Our old fendt 312 from the 80s had a 3 speed pto, the old tool carrier has 4, so fendt may have gone backwards.
However, our 716 (1999) has 3, the 930, 3, and even the latest 516, 3, so maybe not.
