Fibre cement roof repair.

Big six sheets onto wood purlins, the nails are sound but the rubber washers have perished and disintegrated. What’s the best way to repair this. Bit of silicon round the old nail and put in a new nail at the side of it or wind the old nail out(which sometimes just brakes the head off) and replace. Any other ideas.

Wind out the nail and replace with modern tech screw types. Much easier and quicker to put in with the cordless driver. Google big six fibre cement screws.
