Does fieldbee have a coverage switch option?
The FieldBee system both the new and the old, coverage switcher, by that do you mean services and modes.
You can add services to it, the paid ones, you can use base stations, fieldbee do their own, which I have experience with, that has 2 modes radio and mobile phone based corrections.
as far as I last checked you can only swop from radio to mobile output on the base station if your within reach of the WiFi that controls the base station setup.
If it’s what the reciver on the cab is doing then yes you can login to it and change settings via an app on the old system, and you had to turn it off to put it in setup mode which is it looks for networks with a special name. You can then edit any setting including what service your on.
If your using the RTK base station but don’t want to use mobile data to run RTK just turn off the base station and cab receiver just defaults to free to air services that for me give 12-15cm accuracy on a L2 system.
your system will still use some mobile data to pull map updates and cloud store data, but no corrections.
Again on the old system you could pull the sim card from the mini router and mobile data use will stop all together.

I would assume these options for the new system are similar and that the reciver now holds the SIM card.

Having used, installed and sold many FJD systems it's very easy to install and use. Feel free to get in touch on 01403 887720 or email on [email protected] for more info.
Currently using to save fuel with more accurate mowing and tedding! Also useful to have the wifi cameras when baling with a baron (saves a sore neck!)

Those pics make it look like they were running about 2ft overlap before and could do with adjusting the chopper vanes to suit it now. I appreciate how much of a pain it is though when chopped straw gets blown against the standing crop.

1670 eur or 2700 ozzy dolla.

Theres cheaper about, but has to be weather proof, battery life, preferably with hot swap.

I have zero spare time so i cannot penny pinch everything.

Ill get more prices next week

Quite reasonable that not everyone has those couple of hours to set up a cheap base. My point was only to clarify that not every base costs as much as one could interpret from your earlier post.

At your salary you could however leave a small field not farmed, the profit loss would be much less than building a base and gives you more free hours than necessary for the task. :) Or perhaps you are not a farmer at all, makes things very different.

No i farm but work full time, i have alot of jobs on that give good pay back once done and mainly make life more enjoyable doing the farm work, so some jobs get farmed out, an rtk station will be one.

No one spent a dollar on this place in 140 years, so im flat chat, winter gets wet and restricts me a bit but theres always odds and ends plus maintenance on gear etc. Managing cattle in the wet atm is painful.

Cheers, Ant

Field bee want receiver mounted on the bonnet over front axle.

Im gerting pricing on fjd now.

Also they cant positively show that the steering wheel will go on 7614.

Both systems need internet to run, i will call about ntrip rtk signal on monday. And weigh up pros and cons.

Fjd have at1 and at2 option with imu intergrated into receiver.

fieldbee base station and receivers can use radio mode which delivers RTK the down side its more limited range in that mode and every time you move it and set it up it will make any tracks you create non repeatable because during setup it may move its fixed location by 30cm or more, in fixed locations you can use stored locations that get around this problem but fix is like fixed no rotating or moving between uses. so only pre made mounting points on fixed locations.

fieldbee's new kit is in beta still hence the bonnet location, until they get it out of beta most will be wise to avoid it.
I have fitted the kit to claas arion 600 series, I had to get a custom wire loom, by telling them what to add and then I ordered a custom steering wheel adaptor (the standard one fitted but added more gap than needed) made my own anti rotation bracket, it fits well. but will lift the wheel higher that the standard cab one so any controls you use around the wheel will likely be further away.

if this is your cab then it likley will, but their kits are not as customised as more established brands.
