Finishing cattle on Brewers Grains

Hi, I’m looking to finish our beef cattle on a ration of barley, straw and Brewers grains. We have a constant supply of brewers grains and need to utilise them better. Not certain on dry matter of them but it’s not very low. Thanks

Not sure if this is what your asking? BG is usually 20-24% dm. You can get some versions that have been double pressed/ milled which have higher dm but less fibrous.

Are they not high in protein?

Need a low protein ration to finish cattle.

Could include some dark grains. Would need 70% barley though.

3 parts barley to 1 part brewers grains on a fresh weight basis + minerals. We are 2 barley, 1 processed bread and 1 supagrains(brewers grains) and cattle have never done better. Maybe a bit more starch in our ration though from the bread.

Brewers grain is a good feed but wont fatten without starch . Mix with Barley , Bread or Crimp Grain like Maize,

Couldn't give you an answer that I am certain of, but they double press them to keep as much water in the brewery as possible, so im guessing what gets
" strained out" would be fairly loaded with nutrients.

If its anything like the draff we get, the wetter it is the better it is.usually down to malt been crap an they struggle to get figures out of it.
