I thought you had all run away from this lot.

How can you change forums at a minutes notice without letting everybody know.

To go to how to be a member of SOP I would never have pressed that button on my iPad in a million years. who in their right mind would consider being a member when it is run like it is?!

I only found out that you all had moved in a conversation with Howard.

But as for me not telling the truth about what I was told to do at the last AGM, I will tell you all again. I speak the truth, the whole truth & nothing but the truth!

I had prepared my figures regarding the profit of the society.

I told them, the society should see if they could have the World every year, because if you put the figures for the society on one side and the figures for the world on the other side. Society of ploughman made a loss on the year of £43,000

The chairman Alan Jones butted in and told me I was talking a load of rubbish. Then other members and directors all boo hissed and told me to sit down. I knew then I had no chance of telling the present set up my evidence and what is wrong with the way the society has been run for the last 40 years.

As for Alan Jones when he first joined the society he was like a breath of fresh air, he wasn't frightened to get his hands dirty and was a very good asset to SOP.

But when you have mixed with e present organisers for three or four years you soon get down to their level.

Yes, it's in the Competition Ploughing forum and the OP is obviously a Committee member of the Society of Ploughmen (SOP). The society have recently been involved in, shall I say, an major divergence of opinion as to their future?
I'm not a member but help run an annual ploughing match so have been interested to follow their deliberations on here.

Even though my ploughing sometimes resembles what a flock of geese might leave after skidding down a wet hill and ending up in a guddle in the corner, I am interested in ploughing generally. Therefore I an also on the big settee and sharing doc alkathene's popcorn, that's not a euphemism.

Well there is lots to read, while cuddled up with your popcorn on the sofa, put aside hundreds of hours to catch up on here.
