First floor underfloor heating

Hi,
Has anyone got or have experience of a wet underfloor heating system on the first floor?
We're hoping to convert the loft of our bungalow and have spare outlets on the manifold of our current underfloor heating system so I'm thinking it may be worth running up to the next floor. Just not sure how good it will be when it's not set in a screed.

One of your near neighbours did it by running water pipe up and down between the joists says it works well.

I battened mine out and layed the pipes in 25mm of screed
Makes the floor a lot quieter

You shouldn't need it on the first floor .

I’ve got it in my house works perfectly only thing that took some getting used to is the sound of the water pumping around and back down. Out of all the places the return pipes could have gone the builders decided in the lounge by the sofa was perfect

Have it on all floors, basement and guest floor over concerete and under screed, first and 2nd floor under engineered floor boards on top of either wooden floors or beam and block

It works the same in all those situations, just put good insulation under it

This is the second house I’ve used it in and it’s brilliant, only chage I made 2nd time around was to use electric in bathrooms rather than wet as you can have heat (warm tiles) in summer without boilers running and it’s faster to react

We have it all over in our 2006 timber frame house.
Since the family have flown the nest, we never use it upstairs, except for the bathroom.
