The thing you must keep in your head is the fact that grazing rarely matches the grazers.
If ewes are controlling grass just now, May and June are certainly going to beat them in a normal season.
We add cows to keep sheep grazing under control or skip longer paddocks to cut silage off and just go to the next one that's at the most suitable stage for grazing.
No number will suit an area for a whole season if you are to achieve optimum growth.
