I’ve got a shed full of them but they’re all on fattening ration currently. Knocking on a year old now. Easily big enough to work heifers but they’re evil little barstewards. I wouldn’t be overly keen on keeping them in fields past 2. But that said I’m in the market for a jersey bull. Maybe im as mad as you.

Agreed they’re not. I liken them to raptors. They’re intelligent. Ours didn’t turn on everyone at Once. They sort of picked you off one by one.

I’m just wanting something that the heifers and tail end cows will fire out hence the thought about jersey bull.

our fleks are quiet, just cannot get them I/c, used 3 bulls, and half hiefers have been sold, as can't get in calf, good job we only had a few each year !! no real reason that we can see, 90% of the rest of bunches I/c, and as we block calve, its 9 weeks, and might get an extension of another 2 weeks, otherwise out, cows have been iffy as well.
so, what looked like a good breed for us, wasn't !
have kept a few normandes, and they seem alright.
