Do these electric fly killers work?

Currently plagued with the buggers in the house, getting bored using a fly swat!

Yes. Efficiency is improved if they are the only light source at night. Just empty the tray frequently.

Reminds me of the occasion walking around near the Deli counter at ASDA where one of theses was in fairly constant use and could be heard giving its regular spit and fizz but it had no tray and so all the debris was being deposited straight over the work surfaces .......

her indoors won’t entertain those I’m afraid....😆

Well she'll just have to put up with the flies then.

The Ally link chain versions are 1000 x better than plastic strips and can be made decorative as well.

And enjoy the burning stench of fly cremation accompanied with seriously alarming electrical , mini lighting storms and concerning musical accompaniment as the fly frazzles loudly.
We used to have one in the kitchen and it turned our labrador into a quivering wreck, he used to try and climb into a cupboard, same response to thunder and lightning. As it did its worst after I had switched the lights off to go to bed it took me a while to realise what was happening (dog used to sleep in the kitchen) .

This is the first year I can ever remember there being hardly any flies, particularly in the parkour. Haven’t done anything different really. Weirdly I did 130 miles in the car last weekend in the lovely weather and there was only around 5 dead flies on the whole front end of the car.

Not complaining mind. Hateful things

These are quite effective strung out along and back in a milking parlour pit but I don't think I would wand the rolled up end with 1000's of dead flies in a corner of my kitchen ....

Bought several packs of flypapers from Amazon at the end of the fly season last year, being used now, usual Chinese cr*p, I'm getting one useable one out of a pack of four. The strings come off or the paper comes out of the tube etc. We have a fly fortnight in August down here, where hundreds of flies come for their holidays and I'm sat at the computer doing an Australian wave most evenings. Record number was 120 overnight with flypapers replaced every couple of days. Getting into practice with the flyswatter, my backhand would put Serena Williams to shame.
