Floating tractor

With the rain as it is and im thinking this may be the future. Does anyone run big floatations all year round? Saw a pic on a thread of a JCB 4cx digger on big tyres looked a beast.
All grass farm here so thinking when do I actually need the tractor tread? Must be benefits from less compaction or would something like this just make a big mess?
Turf guys seem to go on in most weathers.

Fine if you’re on flat ground I’d say

Might not be so bad on agri tread but turf tread flotations are not for wet, hilly ground. Might as well be on skis.

I’ve a dumper on wide grass tyres and if it’s wet it’s absolutely useless and just stands and spins and won’t move.

If you want traction and width you need something like Terra Tires.

It must have been far wetter 'back in the day' These tractors used to spend 7 or 8 months of the year on Terras...

.....a lot of road work makes them a bit expensive to run though.

tyres like that are ok but if its wet they are shite, ive got am mf 1210 with turf tyres which are really wide but in wet its rubbish, just doesnt sink .
