Ford 5030

If I remember Rhuthun machinery sales the local ford dealer at the time, had a load of 5030s out on hire, all turboed and pushing over 100hp proper pocket rockets, no idea how they fared in reliability terms. But I suppose they were cheap 100hp tractors to buy.

I assume this is the low profile cab? I find the seat is too low and all the pedals are in the wrong places. The diff lock pedal is really bad, it would be better under the seat! Is the deluxe cab much better?

Isn't the difference between the cabs in the roof height ?
I had a ford 545d which had the same cab but with 6" chopped off the back to make it shorter so it would fit in behind the loader, but it had a different layout inside, as the cab wasn't as far forward as the Ag tractor and the fuel tank didn't protrude as far into the cab. And being a torque convertor transmission there was no clutch just brake and throttle pedals so it wasent to bad to drive, think the Duncan supercab was an option on them, a much better cab imo

I think that the floor height was reduced as well .but the pedals remained the same which might explain why they feel awkward
The LP cab was a bit of a cheap lash up meant to compete with the Case stockman etc @carbonfibre farmer would be the man to ask about the deluxe cab
