Ford Ranger Instrument Cluster Problem

I have a problem with my Ranger, it is a 2006 model, the older type with the Mazda lump under the bonnet. The dash instruments have stopped working, no speedo, rev counter, fuel guage or temperature guage, the warning lights work ok.
I have checked all the fuses and they are ok. I am trying to remove the instrument cluster to see what is wrong but I cannot see how it comes out.
Has any body on here ever done this even to replace the bulbs in the cluster?
Can this be done without removing the complete dash as it all seems to be one piece from door to door?

Hi, I know this is an old issue, any luck with fixing? If so, how did you?
I got it fixed but I don't remember how or what was wrong, not much help I know but I should have posted the solution at the time. It must not have cost much or I would have remembered a big bill.

Is your interior lamp working? Both nissan and mazda had a thing for powering the clocks from the same fuse, but it was never mentioned in the handbook.
Hi, the interior light not worked for years, but the dash items have. Just odd it went like overnight. Was fine one day, went out in it next day and that issue?

It was a few years ago but I remember Mazda having a vertical bolt either end of the instrument cluster, accessed from underneath. The instrument circuit board has two big connector sockets for the two loom plugs. You can see them if you look from the pedals upwards.

Hi did you have to change whole instrument panel?

just had the wifes focus done the digtal milometer had stopped , apprantly a common problem and as the imboliser works through the dash can cuase loads of problems they had to find a second hand cluster reprogram it and fit £300 later

Ok not so good then. So could need whole new instrument panel. Just odd all gauges and speedo rev and miles all not work at once.

No. It was chasing down a drivetrain problem that the previous owner had disconnected the 4wd indicator lights to hide.
One of the two separate plugs is quite likely for the instruments and the other for the dashboard lights.

Fuse 33 5 Amp should be the feed to the Gauges
Hi couldn't see a fuse 33, This is a pic of what my inside fuse box displays, this pic is same layout identical to mine, but not my fuse box. So which be the gauges fuse?
