ForFarmers has appointed Joe Edge to the role of sales manager for its newly combined north and central dairy team.

The newly combined team covers the area stretching from the Midlands to the north coast of Scotland.

ForFarmers UK ruminant commercial director, Greg Edwards, said Edge’s experience in management roles made him an “excellent candidate” to lead the new team.

“Joe will ensure we continue to provide the high support and service levels that ForFarmers dairy customers have come to expect with, provision of the highest quality, sustainably sourced feed, and expert nutritional advice,” Edwards said.

“Joe brings with him a wealth of experience, having held sales manager roles and many senior commercial positions.

“In the three years since he joined us at ForFarmers he has made a huge success of the ruminant specialist and account manager role proving his commercial credentials once again.”

Edge comes from a practical farming background and has received a degree from Harper Adams University.

ForFarmers said his CV includes an “extensive range of commercial leadership roles”.

On his appointment to the new role, Edge said: “I am very much looking forward to my new, exciting role which will see me build relations with a whole host of customers I have not yet had the chance to meet.

“The dairy sector is increasingly facing difficult challenges as we work towards more sustainable goals, and I look forward to working to achieve them with the rest of the ForFarmers team.”
