A former agricultural holding with current planning permission for a house has been brought to the market by DM Hall at a guide price of £125,000.
The 0.65ac former agricultural site is located at The Courtyard, Candiehead Holdings, Avonbridge. It is 6.8 miles from Falkirk, around 25 miles from Edinburgh and 33 miles from Glasgow.
The site includes a two-storey storage building under a pitched roof with both electricity and water.
Surrounding this is a dilapidated and redundant traditional stone-built U-plan agricultural farm steading on a “picturesque rural site”, DM Hall said.

The site was formerly a smallholding with chickens and other animals kept in the grounds, so the steading is predominantly of brick and rubble stonework interspersed with vegetation.
The original U-plan steading has been altered over the years to support its agricultural use.
Jennifer Campbell of DM Hall’s rural property team said the site, with planning permission for a house, is a “fantastic opportunity” for someone to carry out their grand designs project for 2024.
“This property enjoys spectacular views to the south, overlooking the surrounding rural landscape, in a peaceful and private location,” she said.
“The Courtyard is approached by a public road with a verge providing parking for approximately three vehicles.
“It is the ideal plot for a smallholding, with sufficient lands to establish an orchard and keep chickens.”
Campbell said Avonbridge is highly accessible, and lies in a rural yet central location near towns includes Bathgate Falkirk and Linlithgow.
“There is a village shop and a pub in Avonbridge itself. Blackridge, Polmont, Armadale and Bathgate rail stations are all within 5 miles of the property.
“Interested parties should contact the rural team at DM Hall on 01786 833800 or email [email protected]. Viewings are by appointment and will be accompanied.”
