Free pint

"In his vision for the venue, he says he wants to turn it into a club house where farmers will get a free pint. Only food from Britain will be served with much of it from his Diddly Squat farm."
How often do we qualify for this free pint, once every half hour sounds about right

Wonder how much a taxi back to north Shropshire is or will I be limited to 5 and drive

If anyone could make a go of a pub in the current climate, it's Clarkson. He doesn't face the same challenges that a bog standard pub landlord would.

In the same way as a celebrity chef can charge premium prices and still not have a shortage of customers....Clarkson will be able to do exactly the same....if not FAR FAR more successfully.. He knows he's able to sell an experience that millions of people are willing to pay handsomely for, whether they can truly afford it or not.

Clarkson is making a fortune from netflix , he's probably losing 500k on the farm a year , bet he couldn't give a toss
Most really wealthy folks make a paper loss to avoid tax don't they.

Not a long time but long enough if you're 79.

He's not a farmer but he's not daft.
How's he not a farmer thought he had about 1000acres (don't have Amazon prime so not seen his show)

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
