Which dairy board are you a rep of? I will come and meet with the producers you represent so we can have a full detailed discussion, we have done these all over the UK and work well.
I've not heard of anyone in this area having been to one. This being a largely grazing based area as well.

i have pm'd you as well.

There you go Sid he has also put his number on here a few times, ring him or go see him and do your job and stop having a dig at someone trying to do something (y)
I know the chairman has spoken with runny eggs, but didn't feel it would have been a benefit at the time to have him along....maybe things have changed?

Sid, just to clarify, are you actually sat on the NFU SW dairy board?
And just to clarify you are/have been a director of 13 companies?
3 of which are to do with free range milk and you are the only director?
1 other that is active.
5 which have been dissolved.
and 2 which you were only involved in for less than 12 months and one 2 years.

In that case you will be aware of my meetings with Michael Oakes and other members of the NFU dairy board. My offer to meet is open.
I have heard you have met with the main board...any regional boards where you can speak to actual members?

Yes, I am lucky to have been involved with a number of companies as either a share holder or director, I think it gives me a good basis for understanding of how the world works outside of farming and how we can learn from other industries. I am also married and dad of 3, I like travel and socialising... sorry coudnt resist.

I think that's scraping the barrel a bit:rolleyes:

Sid its been a pleasure but I am sure you have work to do. If you ever feel it would be of benefit for me to attend one of your meetings and meet with the producers you represent then let me know. Best of luck.

What knowing background information on someone running the company I woukd be involved in? Do you not look up info on companies before you sell stuff to them?
Many on here comment on the boards of DFOB, FM etc....why is this any different?

I agree. But then many don't know how their own businesses run let alone outside agri.

Socialising? Bit of a drinker are we? THAT WAS SAID TONGUE FIRMLY IN CHEEK!

Rolling EG, insured, growing, sheltered, adequate funding/insurance. We are over subscribed for the immediate brand supply and will never be able to offer contracts to all who want them. Can I ask where you see yourself in 5 years time?[/QUOTE
You can. No expansion plans, family tenanted farm so obviously the loss of seven weeks worth of milk sales a few years back hit hard and makes you particularly cautious.
Are you a broker? Plans in place for oversupply? Volume restrictions? Who does the processing etc?

We buy to process and supply third parties, we only buy what we can sell so no incentive for producers to oversupply. Depends.

I just thought you were being a bit pedantic and implying that having been involved in a few companies was somehow shameful or dodgy. Your post came across as a 'red top journo' trying to find news where there probably isn't but using the opportunity to make accusations of wrongdoing with the style of questioning.
