Our free satellite image offer is back on!

So far we've had great coverage this year with many of our farmers already receiving four images.

If you would like to see a sample Soil Brightness scan and NDVI image for one of your fields follow the simple steps bellow:

1. Visit Google Maps - www.google.co.uk/maps

2. Use the ‘Search’ function to locate your chosen field (you may need to click on the ‘Earth’ icon in the bottom left corner)

3. Right click in the field and select ‘What’s here?’

4. Copy the coordinates shown in the top left box and send them to me

We've had some great imagery so far this year.

The image below shows the relationship between a Soil Brightness scan and a NDVI image. You can clearly see the fertile valley with thicker crop running through the south of the field as well as the shallow, stony patches with thinner crop to the north.

If you're interested to see an example for one of your fields, please get in touch.

PM me your username and I'll have a look what we've got.

I should add that I've had 9 images (7 full, 2 partial with cloud cover) this year. But this warm weather has moved everything on a lot since the last one. I'm not grumbling about the service!
