A dry with a lot of sunshine, but rain may return to south-west England through the day. most other places will be cold with the chance of wintry showers of rain sleet Snow and hail these most frequent in western Scotland, with snow accumlating over the mountains. more Scattered for England and Wales. A cold westerly breeze, strongest in northern areas. Highs range north to south 3 to 9C. (37 to 48F) frost and icy roads overnight.

10 day outlook: Very cold Showers or longer periods of snow. Winter as arrived!

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
