Front linkage weight

Just removed the weight bolster(110kg) and eight 50kg weights from the front of a JD6330,and fitted a laforge front linkage.
How much weight do I have to carry to replace the previous load?
Anyone know how heavy the front linkage is by itself?
Thanks in advance

Make up a box to carry on linkage and put weights in till you satisfied.i have a box on front linkage if a 6620.ive got 3x John Deere front bolsters inside it at 130kg and that’s plenty for everything I need

I've made a frame to carry old leyland weights which are only 25kgs,they are compact and will allow me to minimise the extra overhang out front(want to keep the nose as short as possible),but not sure if I have enough to make up the required ballast compared to the previous arrangement!!!

Bit late now but shouldn't you gave stood her on a weigh bridge to weigh axle weights before you started?
hindsight is a wonderful thing

When I did my forklift training years ago the instructor told us that if you had 1000kgs on the forks for every 1mm that you moved the weight forward that it was the equivalent to it weighing 1kg more

Depending on how you’ve made the frame to carry the weights, can you mount it in the linkage “backwards” so that the weights hang between the arms of the front linkage with the frame protruding little infront of the hook ends.

I have 'repurposed' an old scraper blade from a hydraulic malgar scraper and hung the weights facing the tractor.
May not look professional, but more interested in performance.
Not sure how strong it is,but think it will be fine with just the small weights, not sure I could mount a bolster, then hang weights off it(also would hang too far forward for some of the tight corners we have)

I will guess the linkage weighs a bit more than the bolster. You had 400kg on the front so I guess you will need approx 300kg as it will be at least a ft further forward.

I suspect the linkage weighs more than 110kgs,but the weight distribution is spread over a longer area.
Fiat10 may not be far wrong with using 300kgs,but I was hoping it would be slightly less!!
Once I fill my feet spreader full I will soon tell exactly how much ballast is required as it usually wants to wheely?

P.S. I have a nearly new front linkage for a JD 4 cylinder 00 or 10 series available (dealer sent the wrong model linkage initially) for a very good price if anyone is interested ?
