Fuel filters clogging again

I have found fuel quality is getting poorer.
On the farm it was only affecting one vehicle, I don’t know if that was circumstantial or habitual. My dad would run his tractor empty which constantly led to issues. That notorious brown grey gunk.
My volvo when low would act up; but I found that to be a small particle blocking the fuel pickup; whereas the tractor on a pto generator never gave bother yet total neglect, filling from drums etc.
I’m having trouble with saws lately with poor quality petrol and it doesn’t matter where I purchase the fuel.

Same with my Jeep; I’m now finding only one filling station that the Jeep seems to be perkier after filling.

Bio bug.
Get tonic in tractor and storage tank, new filters and fuel if possible.
Fuel pumps don't t like water or that in them and very expensive to change.

Tank had bug killer in it a few fills back, just seems the last fill which has all just about been used in under a month is bad, will stick some more in when it’s filled next week to be sure

Maybe drain out and clean first if possible and on tractor.
You won't believe the muck that comes in fuel .
Knackered my mates Valtra fuel pumps right up.

Last year had a load delivered that looked terrible so fitted a filter housing and filter to storage tanks and have been adding biocide and additive to each load since.

All this year , a few days after delivery the fuel has looked clearer and fresher until the last load , delivered last week which looks to be back to the added cooking oil shite again . Not as bad looking as the 2019 stuff but they must be adding more back in .

Mine is Grangemouth.

One of the suppliers can do me Aberdeen fame free but I usually find it's around 4 to 6p a litre more than the machinery ring . This makes the biocide and additive cheaper but as soon as it starts reducing filter life the Aberdeen stuff makes sense .

It’s not vegetable oil it’s palm oil that’s the problem,it solidifies at a lot higher temperatures than veg oil and causes the problem

@Chae1 Simples, adding that shite into our fuel is going to save the planet!

Well according to a few tree hugging muppets who more than likely have never set eyes on a Diesel engine far less knowing just how clean the fuel needs to be for modern engines.

Even worse that we are expected to pay for this sh!t without complaining!
