Oh I don’t know, it’s surprising how often a picture of the pump prices at DA Roberts pops up on a local Facebook group ( the one @Kidds posts on here occasionally), local price currently about 1.64 for diesel, DARoberts about 1.40 but 25 miles away.
Small independent about 10 miles away selling Esso on 1.54 today, the Euro garages just up the road from here also selling Esso on 1.64, maybe Euro Garages haven’t got the buying power of a small independent 😂😂😂
Was talking to a small independent garage owner recently and he said pre pandemic he had only been able to work on a 3p/lt margin on fuel sales because of opposition prices. He said he’s now on 15p as that’s what the opposition are on. This week they are all about 18p higher than my card price.

How much do you need to spend per month to make a fuel card worthwhile.Only spending maybe £200 a month here but annoying to be paying 25p a litre more, cheapest around here is 155 for derv.
Get my card through the local machinery ring , no minimum spend required . savings in fuel would may my membership in a little more than a couple of months , saved £13 today fuelling up using card forecourt price was £1.49. I use the ring for other services also before getting the card
