A new account executive has been appointed for the insurance services branch of the Farmers Union of Wales (FUW).

Dafydd Saer will be the new account executive for the Carmarthen West area, from Newcastle Emlyn down to Narberth.

FUWIS said Saer has 20 years of insurance experience with varied positions in agriculture and commercial insurance.

He was a member of his local Young Farmers Club (YFC) while growing up in Nebo, Llanpumsaint. In his new position, Saer’s office will be based within the FUW offices in Carmarthen.

Speaking on his appointment, Saer said that his responsibilities would span from Newcastle Emlyn down to Narberth, and that he would be “attending the local farmers marts in these areas too and very much look forward to meeting new and existing customers”.

FUW group chief executive Guto Bebb said: “Dafydd brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the insurance field.

“We wish him the very best of luck in this new role and are confident that customers will be looked after in a professional manner.”

Agri Leadership Week

Saer’s appointment comes in the middle of Agri Leadership Week, a campaign aiming to raise awareness about opportunities within the industry for individuals wishing to develop their management and leadership skills.
