Garden office

Anyone on here use a garden office? I need some office space and am thinking a purpose built one in the garden may be the way to go...it would keep the house free of work clutter and free up a room for the family and possibly provide an extra sleeping space when we occasionally need one.

Has anyone bought one and if so, where from, are they happy with it and using it in the winter, what would they have done differently and roughly how much?

Or, based on budget, do we buy a window and door, make a timber frame, over-insulate it and clad it with weather board for less money than buying one?

Don't do it, for tax reasons, you can claim quite a lot of allowances for your house for office, adequate compensation for the trouble of clearing the kitchen table every time you want to eat.

I'm sure you're right but in this instance it probably wouldn't work. I need a dedicated space of some sort

My old neighbour sells them and are very good quality, google garden spaces and ask for Roger Hedges

I've googled them and had a look..they look good. How much do you get what you pay for. There's choices out thee for half the price so what's the difference? I'm guessing mostly insulation but don't know yet. Still wonder if we could build our own cheaper?

Best to ring them as I would only be guessing, there is a garden office next door which is very nice, as a farmer I'm sure something could be built cheaper yourself
