Gearbox for Renault 180-94 or Same 190

Looking for a gearbox for a Renault 180-94. I'm told it's the same as the one in the Same Titan 190.

Might not be much wrong with the one I've got (it slips in 4th and 7th) but I thought it might just be easier to change the whole unit.

Any help or advice appreciated.

umm could be painful relative to the value of tractor this one... I know of a chap who sent a Same Rubin up the road due to gearbox issues, certain gears clutch packs are in the depths of the transmission and so much more expensive to fix, parts were readily available though.

Trouble with a used replacement unit is how do you know your any better off and its not insignificant labour to find out....

J&S Lewis have some SDF spares on ebay at the moment - might be worth a call as they were large SAME dealers until not so long ago.

Was it yours advertised on ebay late last year? Similar gearbox problem

I bought it last year with the gearbox problem as I wanted something big to go on a large slurry mixer pump.
Been using it on the hedgecutter this week and quite like the tractor so thought it might be worth spending a few quid on it.

Thanks. I'll give them a ring tomorrow.

I think Jim Hedges in Devon may poss have a gearbox for you as he had the proto types that Bateman played with when they toyed with making tractors years ago and I am sure they had Same 190's chassis. It was pub talk and a long time ago tho but well worth a punt as I am sure the bits had been seen there
