Finally got the parts needed to repair my Holder gearbox.

Looks like I am going to have to rebuild it myself so any advice gratefully received. I do have full drawings of what goes where but struggling to see how with one pair of hands your supposed to put 3 springs 3 ball bearings and 3 square washers with holes in the centre into a selector ring without them flying all over the place.

Unless your workshop is clinically clean, especially the floor, where the balls & springs will end up!, when assembling tricky stuff like this I try to do it inside a polythene bag (the more transparent the better) If too big for the bag available, then make an enclosure from clear wrap - the heavy duty cling film type, & fence wire. This will give you a chance of finding the springs the first seventeen times they elude you. First twigged this when dismantling Penn multiplier reels for cleaning as a kid - has served me well over the years...

It says its over 1 year old. cannot see anything current but thanks for looking. Have managed to get the stones back into the syncro's so thats a major hurdle overcome. Ended up making a tool for the job and now got it down to about 30 minutes to put one back together again which I dont think is to bad. Now just waiting for a couple of parts from the factory in Germany.
