Generator........

Completely ignorant to everything generator related, so here goes.....

I'd like to run an electric Belle type mixer for general farm jobs, some power tools.

I would like to learn to weld (farm type stuff again) in the future and also know nothing about that

Off to a good start...

I'd also like something relatively quiet and affordable as I have finite resources and not a Government elastic budget.

Suggested specs and brands? What to stay away from?

A petrol stick welder with generator sockets might be your best bet, should be able to pick up a s/h honda 13hp gen/ welder for about £700
