Yeah. I have a real soft spot for "lowline" typesYou're talking about Stella, right
Clearly nothing like that but I remember when the council used to erect snow fences for winter to keep the roads open near here in open landscapes. Here’s some from that year that I poached from my Twitter. I think the wind fences are 12’ tall but they could be higher as well.

But neither came close to the time I was skieing (spelling?) In Andorra with yfc, where we had close to 1meter of snow in 12 hrs.

Spring storms are their own kind of hell.
November ones can just crater into the deep freeze. The ones in ‘13 stuck us deep into -30s for weeks. That was the winter I got frostbite and peeled the tips of three fingers.
It’s always the wind that sucks. -30 isn’t that bad when you’re used to it and not in shorts. But get a stiff breeze then and it makes life biting.I was up east of lloydminster in 03 for 9 months, they were having a bit of a "drought" for a couple of years, so didn't have much snow, didn't mind the cold to much, but had a blast of -50 wind chill for a couple of days towards the end of march, now that felt bloody cold.
