Getting behind with spraying

Yeah, weather has changed from a dry 14 day forecast to the opposite.

Would struggle to get onto our fields at the moment without sinking so just have to be patient I think. Hope that the rain volume isn’t as bad for the next 10 days as it was before.

No point losing your head just yet. Last year I didn’t start any Atlantis until 4th April. It just feels late this year because we got everything else done early so it’s probably been nearly two months since the last pass over. Chap I know hasn’t managed to get any N on the crop yet but said it doesn’t seem to be suffering thankfully.

Patience is a virtue in farming.

What seems stressful in the moment can turn out different with hindsight given what can be just around the corner but we don’t know it.

You aren’t alone 🙂

Due to the lack of spraying weather starting to get behind with it . Still have some Atlantis type products to put on winter wheat then all the wheat will need T0 very soon. Agronomist saying leave the herbicides very soon and move on to the T0 s . Weather is driving me crazy two nice days then back to wet again. Anyone else feel like this?
Will it need a T0 though? If your BG is sensitive to SUs /not too big I’d bin off the fung in preference to compromising weed control.

I tend to agree with the above. I’d put BG control before T0.
This. T0 won't come to any harm if delayed a bit. You ought to leave a week after Hatra/Pacifica but Broadway/Palio/Avocet is kinder to the crop. What is in your T0 brew? T0 just buys time for a better T1 and can start rust control earlier on susceptible varieties. The SU herbicide will do all the PGR you could ever need at this stage!

Grass weed control is far more important IMO.

I agree, don't panic. It's not been that warm we have had frost this week. From what I have seen disease levels are relatively low, so you may not need that T0 anyway.
If it is now coming warm, and everything growing - then spray the Atlantis, it will work better.
Have a look at your crops, how much disease do you have? If not much save the money t0 not always necessary a well timed T1 will have more benefit.

I’m currently at the mercy of the French to send parts, at least you can go if the weather opens up for you 🙈

Behind here. We have archaeologists digging trenches everywhere, and they have packed up for bank holiday weekend with 28 open trenches, between two and three foot deep all over a 30ac field of wheat. Digestate is behind, but should be on on tuesday. Got some T0s on. But its got to "make a mess" time. Its all very tacky and nasty, and I really need it to stay dry next week.

N2 done, spring herbicide done, fungicides / trace nutrition next week

Got one of those awful heavy mess making 6000 L 36m trailed sprayers that you will regret in a wet time ......... with 6 x 710 42 tyres under it all

Agronomist ask if I wanted t0, said no. He suggested I could put in Folpet with the Broadway Star 🤣🤣.
Hoping to apply the BS tomorrow 🤞.

WB needs it's last dose of N and T1, but that ground is still wet.

Plus side, cattle went out yesterday
bad news, they are now back in again!!

Serious note, we are actually due some nice weather over Easter, and once again have that horrible family/work balance. Easy to say "enjoy family time" when opportunities to catch up with jobs have been so rare recently.

Also nothing drilled yet!

Don't despair. The crop that followed the digging of many archaeological trenches in a small field of ours was the most lucrative I've ever grown.

I think I've made more mess with 1000 litre mounted, sunk up to the rear axle and looking skywards.
