Getting dry

As said before, my issues are Resistant Ryegrass, and increasingly Sterile brome. I have a direct drill coming this year to move away from min till but have also got land let for potatoes and one field in winter beans that has major issues with resistant Ryegrass, the potato land has obviously been ploughed but I am very seriously tempted to plough the one after beans. It will break my heart, especially with fuel prices the way they are, but we did it 2 winters ago on a contract field with very good results.

Is the ryegrass antlantis resistant
Plant a spring crop after a winter cover then winter wheat for 2024

5 reels running on spuds in Perthshire at the moment, should be up to 8 tomorrow, parts delivery allowing. Not super dry yet but our land is only ever a week from soaking to drought. Got some useful bits and pieces last week between 3 and 12mm in various locations, just enough to keep the cereals going but could do with 15mm+ end of the week as the Istabraq is starting to have that leaf rolling look.
