Whilst this acknowledgement is surely a massive breakthrough for the farmers and growers who have already seen the best way forward for food production and are making real changes to their businesses, I can't help but be a little cynical about the true intentions behind these global giants.
The true answers surely lie in localised action, trade and change. Once something becomes a global action it seems to open up to all manor of finance, power and corruption

Another example of the great psuedo green movement.

Oh look .. banks, merchant banks, auditors, petrochemicals, motor companies, Billionaire media empires, Big Chemicals and big IT companies.

For many, the leopard will just have different spots - RA will be like a methodone programme for addicts; and "they" realise that many farmers will just divert their spending from one group of inputs to another, missing the point to a fair degree.

Would be a great time to be a covercrop seed salesperson...
Depends how one goes about it, same as everything.
Cover crop seed neednt be dear, oats are as cheap as chips , so is italianryegrass, very easy to establish and good for mopping up and holding soil in place over winter. even when sown late.

Nor does it have to be sown with a mega kk's worth of drill.

Doesnt have to be trendyio muchio expensivo .....

That's why the big corporations will put their shoulders behind it.... "can't have those dratted farmers keeping their profits for themselves" is my take on it, farmers are their cash-cows.

The NZ fert co-ops are already into it

No issue with regenerative farming but anything cursed by the UN is best avoided.
Power corrupts and UN power corrupts absolutely.

The best money is in consulting right now. Even had an offer last fall, and I don’t consider myself remotely qualified. You would be a great consultant Pete. I’m sure you are already doing it.

:bag: .... but, of course.... it is actually really rewarding work too.

Often it's only a confidence thing, having that confidence to explore different options, the confidence to perhaps adjust farm output in order to become more profitable/ have a more stable or 'resilient' business.

It usually involves changing the conversation from the usual farmer pity party to asking what can be done, making a plan to get it done, and monitoring outcomes

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
