Bung some acorns in, puts flavour on and you should be able to find them on the ground now.
Veg, apples and a bit of rolled barley for maintenance, oats for warmth if it turns cold. Native breeds will always store fat in late Autumn to see them through the winter, and they need a bit of fat for warmth if they are out and about. Just cut down the feed for the last two weeks if they get fat - it soon goes down to the cover you want for flavour.
