as above, recommendations please, i hate sheeting sharp log piles , are there any sheets out there any good ??
We have some odd lumps of very old i presume butile black sheet , very heavy , bin about easy 15 years , poss nearer 25 very good , but don't know what it is?
I think it lined a round gavl mesh grain store ' back in the day ,' it was stitched but there failing now .
Most tarps ive bought look buggered in a month , or indeed rip and are .

Id wondered how it would last, might be worth a try

I use the stuff all the time and had a stack of birch thinnings sheeted for over a year. Make sure it is well tied down or it could split. Oh, avoid the blue stuff. I don't know why but I had some here and it seemed to harden and then break up. Bits of blue plastic everywhere!

I get grain wagon top sheets & off-cuts from our local tarp manufacturer as he just wants rid. When whole they are big enough to cover one 25 ton load of timber ex forest. Weighted down of course as in this current weather I'd never see it again! I've had the big sheet for nine years and it is just starting to go brittle.

Got some lorry sheets here. Most get exported to the continent for shelters apparently, picked up a dozen for twenty quid each..... heavy as fck so you might need a mate.
But they don’t breathe so the logs might sweat and go mouldy maybe.

I'd agree about the lorry sheets ....IF you can get them. But it is black DPM here for everything, the heavy weight stuff, roped down at every angle. Reasonably cheap, easy to get, and lasts well. It's pretty much the same stuff as the old silage bags, though I haven't checked the specifications.
