Goodbye May

He and his party sit (laugh) in the European Parliament to supposedly represent the all British people and fight their corner. However, they just use it as their personal gravy train for carrying their xenophobic message into Europe on the odd times they bother to turn up..

Are they ? Are you sure ?

Does the Labour party represent the whole of the UK ?
Does the Conservative party represent the whole of the UK ?
Does the SNP or Clyde Camry or Sinn Fein or the DUP ?

How about Merkel's party does she represent the whole of Germany ?

On all counts obviously all don't .. you'd have to be very thick to think otherwise.

Question time is predominantly set in Cities. Most cities are hot beds of Socialism.

Yet the country is predominantly Conservative.

Question Time by default disproportionally represents Socialist opinions, why would anyone watch what is obviously biased opinions ?

If anything I would say it's the opposite. Last week it was from some village hall in Devon with a farmer supplying a generator to keep the lights on. And more often than not it's from schools in regional market towns.:scratchhead: However, the quality of the panel is becoming very questionable nowadays. Particularity with many parties now stopping ministers and shadow ministers from taking part.

Yes, if I have concerns or business problems that relate to the EU I would use my representative in Brussels, I don't care what party he/she is from so long as they do what they can to solve it.

Stuart Agnew is the closest UKIP MEP to here, and he's a good bloke. I've no personal experience of any of the others, but if they're all like him, I can't see anything to complain about.

I've stayed away from the Brexit pages as they're so toxic but just throwing in my (short) 2p.

I accept Mrs May has had a tough job, but I do think a remain supporting PM was a mistake. I was quietly hoping after the first few words of her statement last night that it was to be a resignation speech. The 'deal' is dreadful, the negotiation has been a shambles since the start, entered with too much of a 'nicey-nicey' attitude, and influenced too much by those on the EU gravy train.

I stand by my vote to leave, if anything my stance has since hardened. I should say by far the most vitriolic, intolerant comments have come from remainers, IME.

Hes gone missing.Possibly comforting his mate in the cabinet.

Maybe ran out of insults?

She was just objectionable, (although not quite to an Anna Soubry level), and the Labour bloke was just a rambling old fool without a clue, and definitely no answers from his party. Then there was the Action Man doll on the end who could only repeat 'we need a general election' every time someone pulled his cord!
Seemed odd to think that a Plaid Cymru MP and a Tory Boy columnist were the only ones having a decent discussion there.

I can fully agree with one of your posts!(y)

Agree entirely with your view, Thatcher would have gone in all guns blazing and we'd have it sorted by now.

Oooh you've done it now! But welcome @Mac10.

There are a lot of us on these Brexit threads with fairly hardened views about it all. No doubt you will discover that many of us like to let a bit of steam off.

I think the common denominator of it all is that we are all a bit annoyed at how long it is taking to get it all sorted.
But for the Leavers, I often wonder if all we need to do is sit back and watch any of the so-called plans disintegrate.
Though we can't let the Remainers on here get too big-headed without challenging them a bit.

Enjoy, but try not to become too addicted like the rest of us.............!

Why did you ever think it was going to be easy to leave and do all these deals etc,not just with the EU (which would almost bound to be cut and paste from their perspective) but all around the world. Most other countries take years to do deals. We have been in it for 45 years, nearly half a century, trading arrangements and alignments all carefully developed through all this time.Davis,Gove,Johnson, and all the others just told us a load of rubbish for their own personal ambition and stupid ideology.

Never take anybody seriously, when the feel compelled to tell one, that 45 years is nearly half a century.
It's as if they are rejoicing in their new found knowledge.

Now come along @jendan old chap. Here we are welcoming (and gently warning!) a new friend @Mac10 (or in your case, adversary!) to our Brexit threads and you've hit the copy and paste buttons again!

I'm pretty sure @Mac10 is getting the idea rather fast!

But to answer your question, I doubt anybody who voted Leave thought any of it was going to be easy to implement the new regime. But the EU regime is totally unacceptable to us and we want the UK to go it alone and do better.

Anybody who doesn't believe or have the confidence in our ability to do so, is on the wrong side of the English Channel.
