Does not seem to, normally when you change a setting on something you get the option to 'apply' but dont seem to see one in chromes, wonder if I am supposed to re start or something to apply them:scratchhead:

I dont think this laptop likes chrome, I have never had issues with it before, but have had nothing but problems since using it on this. Used it since it started I think, on XP, XP pro, win 7, but this is 8
I am sure it is probable operator error somehow, but fed up of trying to resolve it now.:(

Can you kill the adverts on Opera?
Never noticed the power usage while surfing, must keep an eye ................

Have to use Chrome on some sites as they wont let you use advert blocker (mostly Scrabble sites ) and its a pain, looking at stuff we can't afford!

Yes, got an Ap from their recommended list (y) Works really well, I read a lot of online news for here, and most of these sites are a total pain for adverts, it has caught them all so far :)
Love the speed dial page too, so much better than bookmark bar

Problem I found with Opera is that you can't access Woodheads website from it . It comes up with a message "SSL server probably obsolete . " I spoke to Caroline at Colne and she seemed to think it was their problem and she thought they were working on it . Still won't work though . I now use Chrome or MS to get grades etc.
