ive got 185 acres still to put in, spring barley and wheat. The beans went in last week before the rain. I feel I'm the only one with something to do,make me feel better..

I have wheat that has taken just over 6 weeks to emerge. the soil is cold and wet so in no hurry, i haven't even looked for my soil thermometer yet. Starting to spread fym today then lots of ploughing.

I think it will be the last week of April 1st few days of May.

800 acres of spring barley finished just before the weather broke last week. 150 acres of linseed to do when the seed turns up & the seedbed dries out. It was too cold for linseed anyway. A couple of days sowing pea & barley mixture for the game covers to in the mean time but no land ripped up for that yet.

Barley drilled 15th March is 5% emerged & the rooks have found it.

230 done and 170 to go, all SB. All ground worked so just a Glypho, and in with the drill if it ever dries out. Soil is still cold, although what I drilled has chitted but not up in row yet.

Em half of Scotland for spring barley!
To be fair ground was drying just fine until weekend when it got pretty wet again.
Dare say a few one pass's forcing it in, but no panic yet.

Got all 70 acres of beans in last week same as you, did 12 of 70 acres of spring barley on the lighter side of the 70 acre field but the heavy land which is stubble/dead cover crop and will be drilled direct is going to take some drying out, so 58 acres still to do. Would normally be in by now with plough-powerharrow-tine drill system but patience required for spring strip-till drilling with the DTS. Your not the only one don't worry.
