Grain contract dispute resolution help

can anyone recommend some one who can help with a disagreement over a grain contract ?
I’d rather not discuss details at the moment.

Thanks

Had similar a few years ago and ended up doing it ourselves but via our normal solicitor. He didn't have the knowledge of farming but understood the contract terminology. A couple of hours sat together and we formulated a plan and then he corresponded with the merchant directly. We put a summons on them but they settled before the court date. The NFU would be worth a shout as well as they will point you towards somebody who's sorted something similar out before.

Arbitration? It’s in the contract if sold on an AIC contract.

How about you were assured about matters on email but the contract says different?

There is no physical proof I agreed with the final contract sent- in fact there are emails about me saying this did not represent my conversation with the merchant.

We’re the matters referred to in the email specific and referenced to the disputed contract in question? Or were they more general?

Waste of time in my case years ago. The arbiter phoned from southern England to make an appointment and during our conversation he sugested" Farmers have selective memories when grain contracts were concerned". I told him not to bother driving north and sorted it myself. Never had dealings with the grain company again.

If you could send me a PM @PostHarvest that would be great.

I was promised one thing via email but it turns out the grain company aren’t willing to stand by it. Any help appreciated.

I would suggest you have agreed "special terms" to the standard contract. If these terms haven't been included is it not as simple as sending the merchant the e mail in question and ask for these terms to be included?
