Maybe someone can translate this one, but i guess some big forage maize growers will also cut areas like in the video for use as seed for their next forage crop ?

Unlikely as maize is almostly exclusively grown as a F1 hybrid so they would be harvesting detassled rows inbetween unharvested pollenating rows.

Grown maize for grain several times, got one guy who does it every year. Drying it is a real pain, so most of it down here is crimped.

Huge savings in nitrogen and fungicide costs over wheat.

Don't try to cut it with a conventional header.
