That was when my parents were starting out with pigs, they were a good living back then I reckon.

Well £1452 in today’s money is £42,545

I’ve said to vets a few times about old cows who start to not hold condition as well then you look in the mouth they’ve not much in the way teeth front ones down to gums backs a few missing apparently there isn’t really anyone who does anything with cows teeth like they do with horses and the like had a 5th Calver start going off her feed and she had a real sticky up sharp bit in the back teeth knocked it off with a file and she’s been sound since

i know its a bit of run but a a run out to leek might be worthwile , besides if it dosnt pay a day in the peak district is lovly!

Dad was the incoming tenant , I don't know if he bought any , I assume he did , he liked his pigs , just shows he had no favours at the start , that land as a lot of houses on it now so someone's made a fortune from it
