Greasing loadall universal joints

How are you meant to grease the external grease nipples on a 531-70 loadall universal joints? I can barely see them let alone see how you would grease them! Any help much appreciated

The machine comes with a special U shaped tube and nipple for a grease gun. Impossible to grease with a standard grease nipple.

As above,there’s a special tool for the job but we’ve had 3 brand new jcbs and none have come with the tool

I've found on my 530-70 that if you turn the wheels full lock and drive forward so that the UJ is oriented just right, you can get onto the nipple with the attachment @milkloss posted.

Why don’t JCB fit sealed bearings? Can’t say I’ve noticed that any greasable UJs have lasted on my Manitou.

I've got one of those things found it nearly impossible to use .Mechanic bent it more!
My 13 plate now has sealed UJ s thank goodness!

I can do the 530-70 with a standard grease gun by turning the wheels full lock and driving so UJ is oriented just right, however, I'm not able to do the 531-70 like this. I've never used the tool milkloss posted so it might work for the 531-70.

I’ve got one of those adaptors which are certainly a help.i normally jack the machine up and set steering on full lock and turn wheels till I can get at the nipples.they are certainly a pain in the arse especially if you are alone as I allways am

very easy jack it up , turn wheels full lock the then just put your hand in turn wheel very slow it all lines up , you can even do them with a G coupler on the grease gun

Sealed bearings are not good enough, but probably better than non sealed that never get grease
