its been very dry in sone areas - i doubt the uk is looking at any kind of record harvest

I have walked some fantastic looking wheats in the last couple of weeks. Ground is very dry but taking soil samples down to 6” there is often a bit of moisture.
There are a few poor wheats about but they are thin or weedy, more to do with establishment last autumn I would say.
Most people saying barley is giving acceptable yields.

My barley is dissapointing lucky if its doing 2t acre died rsther than ripened rape sprayed off on tuesday wheat looked good but i fear its heading same way as barley we seemed to have missed every rain shower in the locality county durham
