A friend has bought some land for horses and it needs a lot of fencing....they asked me if you can get a gun for firing staples in...answer is I don’t know....can you? Has anyone got one?

Definitely get them. Was talking to a lad other day and he is able to put some sort of insulators for electric on as well with them.
Yes you can, vary from £400-£1000 and the staples are not cheap, about 7p each but adds up over several metres of fencing.

I was told all the fencing contractors use them, and even with the cost of the staples being high, the improved productivity makes it worth while

No fencing contractor in NZ will be without one. Mainly compressed air but gas canister is becoming more common. Both very good when you get used to it.

No2 : DeWalt battery stapler £?
No3: kmr (gas) look on market place, they were listed at one time

Both stockade and DeWalt will fire 4mm X 50mm staples. Staples are expensive but very quick to staple up.
Kmr fires small staples I wouldn't recommend for horses. There are a couple of other brands but they're the same as kmr with different badges.

Our neighbour put up new boundary and internal fences. Contractors used staple gun. Neighbour then sold land. We bought it and ripped out most of the internal fencing. The worst part????

The dewalt one is about £750 inc batteries but doesn’t use gas like the stockade and Kmr which in winter months when it’s cold maybe better as gas doesn’t like the cold. Still a lot of money but if your a contractor it will save time.
Kmr s £438 before vat and just thd gun. At mcveigh parker . Mole valley will get them and the staples and gas packs as well if you ask them similar money iirc

Yeah your right i bought a kmr last october from mvp its ok but not a patch on the dewalt and with the dewalt no f***ing about with cold gas on a frosty morning. Is handy for putting a fence up fast when its not jammed
what size staple are these battery ones firing don't look man enough for fencing to me

Kmr fires a 40mm x3.3mm staple
The stockade and DeWalt will fire 40mm x 4mm (your standard UK staple) and 50m X 4mm.
Pity its for hosses, clippex means you dont even need to bend down to do the lower ones just kick them in with your boot , I'm putting up some fences now without using any staples at all.

Got the dewalt one. I ummed over it for a long time. Dont regret it now.got one. Can staple up 150m runs by the time my mate had tied wire off.
Is the dewalt gun better not running on gas, and do you have to buy the dewalt staples? Have thought about buying one.
