The cabin is fully hand scribed using the Scandinavian saddle notch technique, creating an almost airtight seal and an eye catching rustic finish. Made from Douglas Fir, renowned for it's strength, durability and resistance to damaging bacteria and fungi , the logs are sourced from a sustainable Lake District forest where the timber is FSC and PEFC certified.

All logs are stripped of bark with a drawknife and worked using axes, chainsaws and other traditional hand tools then treated with a borate solution for year round protection.

A finish of the buyers choice will be applied on installation to give extra protection and enhance the colour of the logs.

Log walls can be lined with insulation of buyers choice although sheep's wool insulation is recommended due to moisture absorbing properties that prevent condensation inside cavities, and the fibre structures stabilise temperature to keep warmth in during the winter and excess heat out during the summer.

This model has an inside floor area of 25 square metres (5m x 5m) and external total lengths of 7m x 6m including a decking:porch area. Guide price for this model is £25,000

Free installation is offered after delivery is arranged and paid for.

Price includes all floor joists, roof rafters, insulation and protective membrane and windows/doors (after consultation).

Internal floor finish and final roofing material i.e cedar shingles/slate can be provided at extra cost. If buyer wants to supply their own we will happily fit on installation.

Stuctures last for hundreds of years if properly maintained.
